The North Schuylkill Spartans and Minersville Area Battlin’ Miners have had a competitive football rivalry over the decades, with North Schuylkill leading the series 22-14-2.

North Schuylkill has dominated the more recent matchups, winning six consecutive games from 2008 to 2013, including commanding victories such as a 50-21 win in 2013 and a 41-0 shutout in 2011. Their strength has been particularly evident since 2009, during which they consistently outperformed Minersville with high-scoring games.

Minersville’s last victory came in 2007, with a solid 21-5 win, marking the end of a competitive stretch in the mid-2000s when Minersville secured five consecutive victories from 2002 to 2007. Highlights from that period include a decisive 35-21 win in 2004 and a close 13-7 win in 2006.
