Teams: Long was released by the Rams and signed with the Buffalo Bills where he played for one NFL season in 1977. He kicked in 9 games and made 7 out of his 11 field goal attempts. His longest was a 45-yard field goal during the Buffalo Bills 31-13 loss against the Baltimore Colts on November 13, 1977. Long also made 13 out of his 14 extra point attempts. He scored a total of 34 points in his NFL career.

Teams: Mattes spent his first five years (1985-1990) of his career in Seattle. He started in 59 of 75 games with the Seahawks. In the 1986 season, Mattes started left tackle, starting in all 16 regular season games. The next three seasons he started in a pair of NFL playoff games. After playing with the Seahawks. Mattes went on to play a season each with the Chicago Bears (1991) and the Indianapolis Colts (1992). He appeared in 95 games in his seven-year NFL career.
